Shown here, third from the left, is Margaret “Margie” Doran of Harrison, New Jersey. This was from the World War Two era, and could have been taken in Coney Island, New York.
Wordless Wednesday is a blogging prompt suggested by GeneaBloggers. “To participate in Wordless Wednesday simply create a post with the main focus being a photograph or image.” Thanks, GeneaBloggers, for your continual inspiration!
Wasn’t sure who Margaret Doran’s parents were? she must be a great aunt?

Hi Bob, Margaret was the daughter of Bernard and Mary Doran, and my wonderful, beautiful, and loving aunt. Margaret would have been your mother’s first cousin. She’s the shorter of the two gals. Do you think she looks at all like your mom?

There is some resemblance with my late mom, Marguerite (Peggy) Pearson Ruthazer, in these cousins…

Thanks, Heather! The 1940s must have been an amazing decade to be a young woman, fancy-free and ready to go out dancing with your fella, (or his friend). So much heartbreak, too.

Bob, I’m so excited and I can’t wait to see the photos and read the history! Wow! With your permission I would love to do a blog posting about your aunt Bess Pearson. She sounds like a remarkable woman. Happy Sunday, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
