Grandchildren are such a joy and a blessing. My Polish grandmother, with her hands resting on her daughter’s shoulders, was called Bapcia. I’m not sure what Mary Lubas was called, but you can see she is beaming, too. Paternal grandparents, John and Mary Lubas, were from Montgomery Township, Somerset County, New Jersey. All four grandparents were born in Poland. Polish grandparents would often say, “Daj mi buzi (die mee boo-zhee)” meaning, give me a kiss!

I’m so lucky, because I’m enjoying my grandchildren right now, too! Wordless Wednesday is a blogging prompt suggested by GeneaBloggers.

Gorgeous photos! And as a beaming, joyous, grateful grandma myself, I can definitely relate to the faces of the grandparents in these photos.
