Six Word Saturday – A portrait by Bachrach, but who?

A portrait by Bacharch - but who?
A portrait by Bachrach , but who?

This portrait is one of the “unknowns” from the collection of photographs belonging to my grandparents. The pretty lady looks somewhat like Genevieve Mirota Lubas. There is also a resemblance to her mother, Zofia Szczerba Mirota.

There is a famous portrait studio chain, still in business, with the name Bachrach. Here’s the code that was written on the back. I wonder if the PLD that starts the code could stand for Plainfield, NJ. That was one of the shopping destinations in Central New Jersey when my grandparents lived in Hunterdon County, NJ.

PortraitByBachrachBSix Word Saturday is a blogging prompt suggested by Cate at Show My Face. I do seem to have trouble just keeping it at six words! Good luck with your photograph mysteries. Happy Saturday!
