Dolores Ann Ameen Doran, 71, of Hazlet, New Jersey

“Dolores Ann Ameen Doran, 71, of Hazlet, died Tuesday, June 6, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.  Born and lived in Newark, she lived in Keansburg before moving to Hazlet 20 years ago.  She was a homemaker.  Mrs. Doran was an avid bingo player, a member of the Bayshore Senior Health, Education and Recreation Center, Keansburg, and a member of the Keansburg First Aid Auxiliary.

Surviving are her children, [omitted for privacy]; a brother, Samuel  Ameen of Texas; and 11 grandchildren, [omitted for privacy].

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, with a funeral service at 8 p.m. at Laurel Funeral Home, 201 Laurel Ave., West Keansburg.  Cremation will be in Monmouth Memorial Park Crematory, Tinton Falls.”

Dolores was the child of Kattar Samuel and Margaret Cervone Ameen. She was my beloved aunt, and always a great joy to talk with and visit. May she rest in peace.
